As mothers all over the United States get ready to celebrate their special day, celebrities took to Twitter to pay tribute to the special women in their lives on Sunday (May 12).
While most offered a simple and sweet "Happy Mothers Day," others expressed their thoughts on being parents themselves. Check out what the stars had to say below!

2013 Billboard Music Awards Nominations Announced

As the nominees for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards surface, it appears Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and fun. have a great chance to rake in a few wins.
All three artists are nominated in 11 categories for the upcoming awards show, with Miss Swift and the “One More Night” performers competing for Top Artist of the Year.

In addition, Rihanna, Carly Rae Jepsen and One Direction are up for 10, nine and eight awards, respectively.
Along with Taylor and Maroon 5, the “Te Amo” singer, Justin Bieber, and the “One Thing” group will also compete for the top prize.
Meanwhile, Swift and Bieber are set to take the stage along with Bruno Mars, Miguel and Prince. The 2013 Billboard Music Awards will air live on ABC from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on May 19.

Justin Bieber & Carly Rae Jepsen Nab Multiple Juno Nods

Carrying on with the awards show craziness, the Canadian music industry’s Juno Awards has just announced the contenders for this year’s festivities.
And Justin Bieberhas definitely redeemed his Grammy snub, as he’s been tapped for a total of four trophies including Best Artist, Best Pop Album, Best Album, and Top Fan Choice.

Carly Rae Jepsen went even further than the Biebs, scoring five chances for hardware including Best Artist, Best Single, and Best Album.
Other nominees for the 2013 Juno Awards (slated for April 21st and hosted by Michael Buble) include deadmau5, Johnny Reid, Leonard Cohen, Maroon 5, Mumford & Sons, One Direction, and Taylor Swift.

Carly Rae Jepsen: Burt's Bees Campaign Photo Shoot

Sharing a new gig with her Twitter followers, Carly Rae Jepsen announced that she is the face of Burt's Bees' new product line.
Posting a behind-the-scenes pic from her photo shoot, the "Call Me Maybe " singer sports a blue-and-white polka-dotted minidress while posing for the camera.

On Wednesday, the 27-year-old songstress tweeted with the shot, "Exciting news!!! @gudhappens (from Burt's Bees) is launching a new line that is simply to die for. So proud to be a part of the campaign! Photo shoot today was rad! #spon "
On the music front, Carly recently described her new single, "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" to People, explaining, "With this particular song, it was sort of that decision that even though [the relationship] is hot and cold, sometimes you've got to move on."
