Jay-Z Brings Hip-Hop to "The Great Gatsby" Premiere

Crossing over from the world of hip-hop to the big screen, Jay-Z attended the premiere of "The Great Gatsby" at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City on Wednesday (May 1).
The "99 Problems" rapper hit the red carpet in a finely-tailored suit, and got a chance to try his hand at scoring the soundtrack in the Baz Luhrmann-directed adaptation.
In addition to hi contribution, the 43-year-old husband of Beyoncé Knowles contributed his track, "100$ Bill" to the movie's album.
In an interview with MTV News, one of the film's stars, Carey Mulligan, admitted that she expects to get a bit starstruck upon meeting Mr. Carter, sharing, "I've been told he might come to the premiere, and I'm freaking out. Because he's the one person I'm going to meet and have no idea how to talk to. I've never met him. I'm genuinely nervous already. He's just this huge, like, genius. And I never in a million years thought I'd be in a Baz Luhrmann film with Leonardo DiCaprio, but with a soundtrack by Jay-Z? Yeah, it's pretty amazing."

{WATCH HERE} Robert Downey Jr.: “Iron Man 3” London Screening

He’s an endless ball of energy, and Robert Downey Jr. was on top of his game as usual at a special screening of “Iron Man 3” in London, England today (April 18).
Joined by his beautiful wife Susan Downey, the “Sherlock Holmes” hunk was as animated as ever in a strange pair of black-rimmed glasses teamed with a snazzy black suit as he mingled with famous folks like Sir Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Samantha Barks, Rebecca Hall, and Stanley Tucci.
In the latest issue of GQ, Robert discusses the massive $50 million paycheck he took home from “The Avengers” last year, after all bonuses and residuals were tallied.
Downey gushed, “Isn’t that crazy? They’re so pissed. I can’t believe it. I’m what’s known as ‘a strategic cost.’”
