Diane Kruger Debuts "The Host"

Getting ready to debut her latest work, Diane Kruger attended the Hollywood premiere of "The Host" on Tuesday (March 19).
The 36 year-old stunner looked gorgeous in a slinky black gown with cut out detail on the sides as she was accompanied down the media line with her longtime beau, Joshua Jackson.

The action adventure is officially described as follows: "When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and erasing their memories, Melanie (Saoirse Ronan) will risk everything to protect the people she cares most about, proving that love can conquer all in a dangerous new world."
Also starring Bella Thorne, the Andrew Niccol directed flick is set to hit theaters nationwide on March 29.

Diane Kruger Talks Career in Manhattan’s March 2013 Issue

Her new flick “The Host” hits theaters on March 29th, and Diane Kruger has walked a long and winding road to reach fame and fortune.
In the March 2013 issue of Manhattan magazine, the “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” babe confessed she didn’t always know what she wanted to do with her life.

Though she began with ballet, Diane quickly decided she needed to explore other avenues of creativity. “By 11, I realized I didn’t have the talent to be a prima ballerina; I was getting curvier, and it was getting harder for me to keep up with the other girls, no matter how hard I worked. That’s a pretty sucky thing to find out.”
She also tried modeling for a bit- “Before then I had never been called pretty, it was huge to be financially independent, and I loved the travel.”
Diane worked extra hard to score the role of Bridget von Hammersmark in Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds.” “What’s especially frustrating is when a script comes along that you
love, with a part you feel was written for you, and the director won’t even see you. Then [Quentin] made me wait two weeks before he called.”
Above all else, Diane puts in 110% to every gig because she loves what she does- “It’s often written that I’m very disciplined, but that discipline comes from passion. I didn’t understand that at first, but as I got older I did.”
And despite her bona fide hottie status, Kruger confessed that she loves sci-fi. “I’m a Star Trek, Star Wars person."

"The Host" Releases Third Trailer: Watch Here!

Building excitement for its release this spring, a new trailer for "The Host" was unveiled on Thursday (February 14).
The adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's novel tells the story of a parasitic alien soul who is injected into the body of Melanie Stryder. Instead of carrying out her race's mission of taking over the Earth, the alien forms a bond with her host and sets out to aid other free humans.

Directed by Andrew Niccol, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, and Frances Fisher.
In the creepy trailer, the invading race tightens their grip on their human victims while resistance slowly builds against them. Check it out below and catch "The Host" in theaters on March 29th.
