With one of the social events of the season just a scant month
away, celebs are returning their RSVP’s for the White House
Correspondents’ Dinner.
Since President Obama took office, the light-hearted evening has become a can’t-miss event for politically active Hollywood stars.
News agencies are eager to get A-listers to fill their tables,
and attendance at the dinner has been around 2,500 and has earned its
own Twitter hashtag - “nerdprom.”
Celebrities sending their regrets include George Clooney and Ben Affleck, while Elizabeth Banks, Eric Stonestreet, and Matthew Perry plan on being there.
According to reports, Kim Kardashian is on the fence as to whether she will show up, but her boyfriend Kanye West is a definite no.
The While House Correspondents’ Dinner will take place on Saturday, April 27 at the Washington Hilton, with Conan O'Brien hosting.
