Viola Davis Hosts Rape Treatment Center Fundraiser

Lending her time to help benefit a more than worthwhile cause, Viola Davis** hosted the Rape Treatment Center Brunch at Greenacres, the home of Ron Burkle, in Beverly Hills, CA on Sunday (October 14).
The Tony award-winning actress looked flawless in a belted pink frock and strappy heels as she welcomed fellow celebrity attendees like David Schwimmer** and Sophia Bush** before honoring the guest of honor, Norman Lear.
Viola originally started her work with the organization after she portrayed a rape victim counselor in the movie, "Trust," which was directed by former "Friends" actor, David Schwimmer, who now joins Davis as a board member.
According to it's website, the RTC, which is located at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, was originated back in the 70's when a young woman attempted suicide after being raped and felt she had nowhere to turn. After this incident, it "was the last time that a rape victim in Los Angeles had no place to turn for help."
