Before Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart officially become an item again, the two need to sit down (preferably with a trained professional) and lay out some ground rules. To get them started, penpointreview.blogspot.com spoke with two leading relationship experts about how the pair can start afresh. 1. Patience Though we’re sure Rob and Kristen are itching to get back together ASAP after spending so much time apart, celebrity psychiatrist and relationship expert Carole Lieberman says that they need to be patient with one another. “It will take time for Rob to be able to trust Kristen again,” she tells penpointreview.blogspot.com. “So, Kristen, you need to be totally transparent about your whereabouts, so that Rob doesn’t have to fight the impulse to keep checking up on you.” 2. Forgiveness While breakups often cause individuals to play the blame game, Rob and Kristen need to think of their relationship as a blank canvas if they are going to give things another go. “Rob and Kristen should absolutely be forgiving of one another and start from a clean slate,” adds family therapist, Dr. Jeff Gardere. 3. Avoid Temptation Even though Rob may be tempted to hook up with another girl to get back at Kristen, Dr. Lieberman warns against doing so. “Rob, you need to fight the temptation to have an affair of your own in order to even the score,” she says. 4. Use Good Judgement Kristen should definitely create more solid boundaries on her next project. “Kristen should do herself a favor and not put herself in any situation that may cause her to make another stupid mistake,” echoes Dr. Gardere. 5. Seek Professional Counseling Relationships take work, and often times, a trained therapist can help couples work through their issues in a safe and productive manner. Dr. Lieberman recommends that Kristen and Rob attend both individual as well as couples therapy to get their relationship back on track. “They both should attend a few counseling sessions in order to make their reunion as healthy as possible,” adds Dr. Gardere.
