Stars Send in their RSVP's for White House Correspondents' Dinner

With one of the social events of the season just a scant month away, celebs are returning their RSVP’s for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Since President Obama took office, the light-hearted evening has become a can’t-miss event for politically active Hollywood stars.

News agencies are eager to get A-listers to fill their tables, and attendance at the dinner has been around 2,500 and has earned its own Twitter hashtag - “nerdprom.”
Celebrities sending their regrets include George Clooney and Ben Affleck, while Elizabeth Banks, Eric Stonestreet, and Matthew Perry plan on being there.
According to reports, Kim Kardashian is on the fence as to whether she will show up, but her boyfriend Kanye West is a definite no.
The While House Correspondents’ Dinner will take place on Saturday, April 27 at the Washington Hilton, with Conan O'Brien hosting.

"Modern Family" Trio Stuck in Elevator

Three stars of “Modern Family” got more than they bargained for on their way to a charity event on Friday (March 1) in Kansas City, MO.
Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were stuck in an elevator at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel for an hour with about a dozen other passengers.

Keeping their sense of humor, the trio sent tweets from the scene and posted pictures of the crowded space with the plea to maintenance workers to get them out.
After an hour, the group was rescued by firefighters, and the stars continued on their way to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City fundraiser, where they closed out their performance with "Have a great night – don't use the elevators!"
