Paul McCartney Joins "Voices Against Violence"; Announces Brooklyn Tour Stop

Lending a hand...er...voice to a cause close to his heart, Paul McCartney recorded a message for the "Voices Against Violence" anti-gun violence campaign.
The former Beatle joined the project started by Tony Bennet, his son Danny, and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. When used, the text-to-call program connects callers to their congressional representative after hearing a special message from Mr. McCartney.
In other news, the busy 70-year-old musician will head to the States to perform at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on June 8 and 10 as part of his "Out There" tour.
This will be Paul's first NYC gig since last year's 12-12-12 benefit concert. Tickets go on sale on Monday, April 22nd at 10:00am on Ticketmaster.com.
