It’s a rough time for extreme sports athletes these days, and Lindsey Vonn is the latest competitor to suffer a major injury.
The American slalom skier sustained damage to her right knee while landing after a jump and had to drop out of the Schladming, Austria Super-G competition.
According to a report, Vonn was treated by emergency teams for 12
minutes before she was airlifted and taken to a nearby hospital.
Making matters more frustrating, Lindsey was only twelve-hundredths of a second behind leader Tina Maze when the incident occurred.
