Topless Kate Middleton Photographer Identified, Charges Imminent

After several weeks of investigation, the name of the photographer who snapped the infamous topless Kate Middleton** photos has been given to French detectives.
If found guilty of taking the photos, the paparazzo could face up to a year in jail and a £36,000 fine for the breach of privacy.
A source close to the case confirmed, "A name has been offered. The photographer is expected to be held for questioning imminently."
We do know, however, that it was Laurence Pieau, the female editor of the French Closer tabloid who hired the freelance photographer to watch the royal couple during their September vacation at Chateau d'Autet, but she has refused give any names.
Prince William** and his bride were reportedly "devasted" by the publication of the photos, first in Closer and then in several other countries, including Italy and Ireland.
