Nigerian football fans can heave a sigh of relief that their beloved Super Eagles will pay at the Afcon next year after missing out on Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The good times are back for Nigerian football.

90′ It's full time now. 6-1. Nigeria go through to South Africa 2013 8-3 on aggregate. It has been a brilliant game of football in Calabar. We apologise for break in transmission, it was due to incessant internet problems.

80′ GOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL! Liberia put some respectability into the scoreline

30′ Goal scorer Ambrose lost the ball in midfield and the Nigerians were almost punished by the visitors there. However, they clear their lines as the game continues on a knife edge. You have a feeling that there will be lots of goals in this encounter

Nigeria could have scored a fifth goal but Musa, not wanting to be selfish chose to pass while facing Sherman but the Eagles miss the opportunity

Apologies for break in transmission, it was due to the internet connection from one of our mega telecom companies. Back to the game, I was biting my fingers as I watched the Nigerians score two more goals. If you missed it, Victor Moses and Mikel Obi have both scored for the Eagles

GOOOAAALLL!!! Mikel scores from the spot after Nathaniel Sherman upturned a Nigeria player in the box. His first goal for the Eagles in a long time as the crowd chanted his name non-stop
