Juventus 2-1 Bologna: Pogba powers champions four points clear in Serie A

… - Well I'm off to catch my breath, pulsating stuff in Juventus Stadium. I've been Daniel Edwards and it was a pleasure, until the next time ladies and gentlemen.
… - It was a goal Pogba thoroughly deserved for an outstanding performance, excellent stuff from the Frenchman. Juve meanwhile were far from brilliant and rode their luck, but deserved to take three points.
90′ + 3 - And that's it, an incredible finish to an incredible half. Juventus couldn't have left it later if they tried, but recovered to take an invaluable 2-1 win over heartbroken Bologna.
90′ + 2 - Assist - Sebastian Giovinco (Juventus)
90′ + 2 - Goal - Paul Pogba (Juventus) GOAL!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!! Pirlo's cross was too long, but Giovinco picked up the pieces and found the midfielder who nodded home from close range. Massive strike for the Old Lady!!!
90′ + 1 - Caceres wins a foul right down by the right corner flag. This could be the last chance for a winner.
90′ - Asamoah is exasperated, Giovinco's touch puts the ball out of reach and out for a throw and the winger throws himself on the turf in frustration. Three minutes of injury time to play.
89′ - Substitution Manolo Gabbiadini Daniele Paponi (Bologna)
89′ - The last throw of the dice here for Juventus, as we move into the last minute.
88′ - Giaccherini is wide on the left after good approach play from Vucinic and Bendtner, and goes for glory. The ball, to Bologna's relief, flies wide of the post.
87′ - Bonucci appeared to take the ball fairly from Gabbiadini on the right, but the referee disagreed and amidst home protests calls for a free kick.
86′ - Inter are now cruising to victory, Fredy Guarin's goal putting them 3-1 ahead.
85′ - Giaccherini tries to burrow through and wins the corner. Giovinco then hits wide, and Bologna again survive.
84′ - All 11 Bologna men are in their own half, this will be a frantic rearguard effort.
83′ - The crowd holds its breath, but their idol disappoints with a high attempt. A few whistles can be heard around the ground.
82′ - Yellow Card - Panagiotis Kone (Bologna)
82′ - Now Pirlo will try from a dangerous free-kick.
82′ - Antonsson saves Bologna!! Caceres' low cross looked destined to find Bendtner, but the centre-back intervened to pick Nicklas' pocket in the nick of time.
81′ - Agliardi is once again safe, getting down low to save from Vucinic. It's going to be a hectic last 10 minutes.
80′ - Caceres is now playing right on the edge of Bologna's area, but the Uruguayan cannot find a way through with the cross.
78′ - Juventus are now playing with three up top, Vucinic coming in alongside Giovinco and Bendtner. Bold, but Bologna will look to take full advantage on the break.
77′ - And Bologna want more!! The team in white swarm forward and the ball ends up with Morleo, but the wideman incurs the wrath of his companions by blazing over when the cross seemed the most sensible option.
76′ - Substitution Mauricio Isla Mirko Vučinić (Juventus)
76′ - How did that miss? Pirlo places a pinpoint free kick into the area, which somehow eluded both Bendtner and Pogba to go behind untouched.
75′ - Substitute Asamoah tries to make an immediate impact, breaking free on the left and smashing towards goal. The keeper does well to divert with his legs.
74′ - There's more bad news in Milan. Inter have turned things round thanks to goals from Diego Milito and Rodrigo Palacio, and now lead Sampdoria 2-1.
73′ - Substitution Paolo De Ceglie Kwadwo Asamoah (Juventus)
73′ - There's an immediate reaction on the Juve bench, bringing in Giovinco for the goalscorer. Can the champions and Serie A leaders still take maximum points after that bitter blow?
72′ - Substitution Fabio Quagliarella Sebastian Giovinco (Juventus)
71′ - Goal - Saphir Taider (Bologna) GOAL BOLOGNA!!!! A beauty from Taider who releases from the edge of the area. His right-footed effort flew past Buffon and off the inside of the post to level the match. Well well well...
68′ - Quagliarella does well to hold up the ball and plays forward for Bendtner, who just fails to beat Cherubin with the goal looming.
68′ - Three corners in quick succession for the away side, but there is no way through Juve.
67′ - So as expected a couple of changes for Bologna, and they look to push forward more with a corner.
66′ - Substitution Marco Motta Nico Pulzetti (Bologna)
66′ - Substitution Michele Pazienza Rene Krhin (Bologna)
65′ - Morleo very fortunate to avoid a booking there, the player lunged into Caceres as the Uruguayan looked to win a goal kick and could have been punished far more severely.
63′ - Gabbiadini is left none too happy as he tries to get on a cross that is far too long. Goal kick Juve.
62′ - Coach Pioli has refused to far to delve into his bench, but a change can surely not be far off for Bologna if they want to rescue something here.
61′ - Yellow Card - Marco Motta (Bologna)
61′ - Giaccherini tries to add a goal to that assist with a long effort, but it swerves just wide.
59′ - QUAGLIARELLA!!!! The striker has a spring in his step now and released a fierce half-volley after being released by Bendtner. Agliardi was equal to it.
57′ - Well that's Bologna's gameplan well and truly out the window. The visitors are going to have to find something at the other end of the pitch now after spending almost an hour on the back foot.
56′ - The home crowd has finally found its voice, lifting the volume as Juve look to press home the advantage.
54′ - Assist - Emanuele Giaccherini (Juventus)
54′ - Goal - Fabio Quagliarella (Juventus) GOAL JUVENTUS!!!!!!! Pogba dinks over the top, the ball is squared and Quagliarella gleefully taps in to give his side the lead. All too easy in the end.
53′ - Poor, poor stuff from Juve. Three passes in a row go awry and Bologna once more recompose in defence.
52′ - Giaccherini finds his way onto Quagliarella's long ball and wins the corner. Agliardi then makes rather a hash of punching away Pirlo's delivery, but he gets away with it.
51′ - Hard to tell if it was a cross or shot, but Quagliarella's effort from wide forces Agliardi into action.
50′ - The Pirlo/ Kone tussle has been a fierce one, this time the Juve man takes the ball firmly but cleanly.
49′ - UFFF!!! A sloppy pass from Isla give Pazienza the chance, and his shot is deflected just wide of Buffon's left post.
48′ - We can also report that there were no changes during the break, the same 22 players retook the field for the second 45 minutes. How long will it stay that way?
48′ - Bit of a role reversal there. Kone looks to advance but he is taken down by Pirlo, who earns a yellow for his troubles.
47′ - Yellow Card - Andrea Pirlo (Juventus)
46′ - Juve straight onto the attack, Isla and Pogba patiently look for an opening but Bologna's tackling is strong.
46′ - And it's Juventus who kick off this second half.
… - The teams are slowly making their way back onto the sodden, yet somehow still immaculate, playing surface here. Can Juventus shift up a gear and take three points that would give them a commanding Serie A lead even at this early stage?
… - They may not have found the score-sheet, but the Old Lady will be delighted when they discover the half-time scores elsewhere. Napoli and Inter, their two closest rivals at the summit, both trail 1-0 at the end of 45 minutes which, assuming the results stay the same, would extend Juve's lead to four points.
45′ + 1 - That's the end of the first half, Juventus having the best of it so far but they are still tied 0-0 with Bologna.
45′ - Kone tries to buck that trend by lifting the ball into the area, but it's far too close to Buffon. Bologna however finishing the half with their most sustained spell of possession so far.
43′ - It seems pretty clear from this first 45 minutes that a draw would be an acceptable result for the visitors. Save for a couple of isolated assaults, it's been all defence from Bologna.
42′ - OOOOH POGBA!!!! A Pirlo free kick finds his midfield partner with space at the far post, but the header drifts agonisingly wide. Juve's best chance so far.
40′ - Bonucci is convinced that he should have won a penalty from the resulting corner, but no. The foul goes the other way, to the defender's obvious distaste.
39′ - BENDTNER!!! The striker releases a bomb from 25 yards out, that Agliardi has to palm away.
38′ - Caceres is playing almost as another midfielder here, taking advantage of Bologna's deep defence to consistently pass the halfway line.
37′ - But wait! He plays it off short to Isla, who hits the cross but cannot find Pogba at the far post.
36′ - Kone takes down Pirlo again, and the veteran will swing in the free kick.
35′ - The game has settled down somewhat after a madcap opening 20 minutes, Juve with a lot of possession but few clear opportunities so far.
34′ - Pirlo attempts to play Quagliarella in over the top, but the striker is flagged for a narrow offside.
33′ - The Dane tries again, burrowing through from deep and once more laying off to Isla. Arturo's effort is deflected behind for a corner, but Bologna are again solid.
31′ - Bendtner takes the ball on the edge of the area and tries to thread through for Isla. Morleo is on hand to deny the Chilean, but the offside flag was already up.
30′ - Gabbiadini chests down well and just for a split second escapes from Caceres' attentions. He tries with the left, but his shot slams into the side netting.
29′ - Morlero tries to create something down the left, but the ball is shepherded out of play by Caceres for a goal kick.
28′ - Bologna's back three have so far done an excellent job of shackling Juve in the box. It is on the edge of the area they need to watch out though, the champions have looked dangerous from distance and need to be closed down more.
26′ - The hosts enjoy a strong spell of possession around the Bologna area, but can't find a way through and Isla eventually ends the move with an overhit cross.
24′ - Brutal tackle from Isla stops Morlero in his tracks. The Chilean takes no prisoners.
23′ - Pazienza does well to cut short two consecutive corners, and Bologna move out from the back.
22′ - The man himself magisterially stands over the ball, but clips the wall and it's a corner.
21′ - Pirlo strides forward and hurls himself to the floor in the most theatrical fashion following Kone's innocuous nudge from behind. Bologna are furious, but it's a Juve free-kick in a very dangerous area.
20′ - A breathless start to proceedings here. Pogba took down a long pass quite wonderfully and squared for Quagliarella, whose effort was stopped by Agliardi.
18′ - Another disallowed goal! Gabbiadini took down Gilardino's header and volleyed home, but the striker was adjudged to have committed an infraction in teeing up his Bologna team-mate.
17′ - POGBA!!!!!!!! Wonderful long-range strike from the midfielder, that had Agliardi beaten all ends up. The post, however, denied him a beauty.
16′ - The home side have looked outstanding so far in the middle of the park, that trio of Pirlo, Pogba and Giaccherini complementing each other perfectly. Things have broken down though when reaching the area.
15′ - Giaccherini and Pirlo again look to put Juve on the offensive, striding forward in midfield. The latter's lofted should have been controlled by Bendtner, but it wasn't and an away throw is the result.
13′ - Very close! Isla drills the ball across the box, and somehow it misses Juve's strikers and goes out for a corner. Pirlo's delivery is perfect and Pogba nods in but it won't count, there was a foul.
11′ - Quagliarella plays a neat ball into the feet of Bendtner, but the ex-Arsenal man's touch was poor and the danger passes.
10′ - Sumptuous body swerve from Pirlo in the middle of the field and a well-measured pass puts Juve on the attack, but they do not take advantage and Bologna win a throw.
9′ - Yellow Card - Michele Pazienza (Bologna)
9′ - Pazienza is the first name in the book, yellow carded for clumsily checking the run of Giaccherini.
8′ - Lovely play by Pogba bamboozling on the right, but his low cross was cleared without too much drama.
7′ - The maestro tried to hit a short cross, but it was headed well away by Sorensen.
6′ - Corner for Juve, and Pirlo's first chance to work his magic from the dead ball...
5′ - The rain is really hammering down in Turin, so we could see a few long shots flying in as both teams try to catch the keepers off guard.
4′ - Ooooh another effort there from Giaccherini, palmed by Agliardi. Positive start from the home team.
3′ - Giaccherini tries his luck there from outside the box, but he hits straight into a Bologna defender.
1′ - And we're off, Bologna get us up and running in Juventus Stadium.
… - The teams now just coming out on the pitch, both wearing their change colours.
… - And Bologna? Agliardi; Sorensen, Antonsson, Cherubin; Motta, Kone, Pazienza, Morleo; Taider; Gabbiadini, Gilardino.
… - Who wants to hear today's teams? Juventus will look a little something like this: Buffon; Caceres, Barzagli, Bonucci; Isla, Padoin, Pirlo, Pogba, De Ceglie; Quagliarella, Bendtner.
… - Tonight's game brings together a Juve team in imperious form, eight wins out of nine, top of the table and still unbeaten, against Bologna who are somewhat less imperious. The visitors have just seven points so far, leaving them tied with Chievo in Serie A's penultimate position.
… - Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls welcome to Turin for this evening's Serie A clash between Juventus and Bologna. My name is and always will be Daniel Edwards, and I'll be taking you through what we hope will be a feast of Italian football.
