Miley Cyrus Gets A ‘Swatting’ — Police React To Suspected Intrusion

Miley reportedly was the victim of a prank known as ‘swatting’ when police raced to her home, suspecting an intrusion — only to find no one home! Read on for all the details!
Cops raced to the home of Miley Cyrus on August 1st after a 911 call reported a possible home invasion!
Unfortunately, when the police arrived to the home, no one was found — not even Miley, who happens to cover the September issue of Marie Claire magazine!

The LAPD responded immediately, sending a chopper, and officers with high powered weapons , who immediately set up a perimeter around the home with guns drawn, according to TMZ.

Cops reportedly determined the call was a false alarm — a prank known as “swatting” — after it was realized that no one was home.

The prank is described as when a “caller tries to trick emergency responders into dispatching law enforcement to a home by making up a serious crime.”

Police further tell TMZ that if the caller was a prankster, which it seems likely to be, the perpetrator will be arrested and face serious criminal charges
