Basketball Wives’ Star Evelyn Lozada Released From Hospital After Husband Chad Johnson Charged With Domestic Violence

NFL star Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday August 11 for domestic violence after allegedly assaulting his wife and Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada.

Chad allegedly head-butted Evelyn during an argument and when police arrived on the scene the reality star had lacerations on her forehead, according to TMZ.

The fight allegedly started after Evenlyn found a receipt for condoms in the center console of the couple’s Maserati. She reportedly confronted Chad on the matter and a verbal argument allegedly ensued.

Chad was arrested and Evelyn was rushed to the hospital. She has since been released and is currently pressing charges against Chad, according to TMZ’s report.

Chad stood before a judge this morning (Aug. 12) where a bond was set at $2500. He is expected to post and be released within the next couple of hours.

A rep for the Miami Dolphins released a statement on the arrest, saying, “We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all the relevent information.”
