Helicopter Ditches In Sea Near Aberdeen

A helicopter carrying 16 people has ditched in the North Sea off Aberdeen, police say. 
Stephen Bond from Bond Helicopters has confirmed an oil light pressure warning light came on, so the pilot began a controlled descent 25 miles off the coast of Aberdeen
The 14 passengers and two crew members are all in a life raft currently awaiting rescue, Mr Bond said.
Rescue boats and helicopters are on the way to the area.
Grampian police said the chopper was forced down at 12.15pm
