Ferdinand Takes Defeat On Chin

Rio Ferdinand says their failure to win their home games was their downfall
Rio Ferdinand said Manchester United only had themselves to blame for their shock Champions League exit.
A 2-1 defeat at FC Basel saw last season's runners-up fail to qualify for the knockout stage for the first time since 2005 and the England defender pulled no punches.
"Nights at Old Trafford, under the lights, the Champions League music, that's what you live for," he said.
"We've gone out early this year and we're disappointed but we can't blame anyone else but ourselves.
"The lads are all devastated to have gone out but that's the reality. That's what's happened.
"We have to look back at the games at Old Trafford. We've not done enough to win those games. The manager's always said that if you don't win your home games, you don't deserve to go through and that's the case."
Despite his dismay Ferdinand told MTV United would go all out to atone with victory in the Europa League.
"Whatever the competition we don't enter it to come second," he added. "We're always in it to win and this is no different."
