The American singer agreed to marry her long-term boyfriend after he proposed during a romantic dinner on Thursday.
Over the weekend they celebrated the news at a party in Las Vegas which had been organised to mark his 40th birthday.
The couple posed for pictures with Spears showing off her sparkler which was designed by celebrity jeweller Neil Lane.
Trawick had asked for a ring "fit for his princess".
With this as his inspiration, Lane came up with a ring designed to resemble a tiara.
A crown-style platinum setting holds the main diamond with 90 small round diamonds encrusted on the band.
In keeping with tradition, Trawick asked Spears' father, Jamie, for his permission before popping the question.
Spears hinted at the news with a tweet on Friday that read: "OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!"
Trawick confirmed the engagement later that day.
The pair got together in early 2009 when he was still her manager. He stepped down from the role in May this year.
He recently appeared with the pop star in the video for her single Criminal.
It will be Spears's third marriage. She briefly wed childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004, but the marriage was annulled after 55 hours.
Later that year she married Kevin Federline with whom she has two sons - Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5.
