Proving that his support for LGTB rights isn't just for show, Leonardo DiCaprio donated a total of $61,000 at the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday (April 20).
The "Great Gatsby" star first forked over $25,000 in the pledge drive conducted by Wilson Cruz before shelling out for a few auctions.
In the live auction, the 38-year-old actor won a $22,000 African
safari from Micato Safaris, while the silent auction induced a $14,000
winning bid for a photo of Marilyn Monroe from the Andrew Weiss gallery
in L.A.
Meanwhile, Leo is planning his own "11th Hour Auction" on May 13th to benefit the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which aims to protect the earth's natural resources.
