After lashing out against a woman who claimed he was the father of her child, Ne-Yo is being sued for defamation.
Back in 2005, Jesseca White gave birth to a child and listed the "Let Me Love You" singer as the father on the birth certificate. A subsequent paternity test proved her wrong.
Following the 30-year-old singer's complaining about the woman on a VH1 "Behind the Music" special, Jesseca says people have called her a host of nasty names and accused her of gold-digging.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit claims that he purposely described her as "an unchaste woman who deliberately tricked him into believing he was the father of her child ... so that she could fraudulently bilk him of 'ungodly amounts of money.'"
In addition to the emotional toll, Ms. White says her career as a photographer and graphic designer has suffered as a result. She's suing for unspecified damages.
