Miss New York Mallory Hagan Crowned Miss America

Rising above representatives from the other states, Miss New York Mallory Hagan was crowned the new Miss America on Saturday (January 12).

The 23-year-old blonde beauty earned the title and a $50,000 college scholarship, taking over for 2012's Laura Kaeppeler.

Perhaps it was her tap dancing to James Brown's "Get Up Off of That Thing" that wowed the judges, including Fierce Five member McKayla Maroney.

Rounding out the top three were Miss South Carolina, Ali Rogers, in second place and Miss Oklahoma, Alicia Clifton, in third.
