She was much beloved in the Mexican-American music community, so when Jenni Rivera died in a plane crash yesterday (December 9), there was an outpouring of love and grief in the Twitterverse.
Many of our favorite celebrities took to their Twitter accounts to share their feelings following the tragic Monterrey, Mexico accident.
“She Bangs” singer Ricky Martin tweeted, “This is sad. I’m a bit
in shock. Much peace to her family,” while “Desperate Housewives” star
Eva Longoria penned, "My heart breaks for the loss of Jenni Rivera &
everyone on the plane. My prayers go out to her family. We lost a
legend today."
Mario Lopez shared, "Spent some time with Jenni Rivera recently. What an amazing lady... Cool, smart, funny & talented. Such a travesty... God Bless her family,” and Gloria Estefan wrote, "Our deepest sympathy to the family & fans of @jennirivera & those that accompanied her on what was to be her last voyage. Rest in peace."
