Wilshere returns to Arsenal squad ahead of Norwich clash

The midfielder's agent has confirmed on Twitter that the youngster is set to travel with the Gunners squad to Carrow Road after a series of successful Under-21 appearances
Jack Wilshere is in Arsenal's squad for the trip to face Norwich City on Saturday, the midfielder's agent has confirmed.

Simon Bayliff, the youngster's representative posted on Twitter: "It's been two 'good news' days in a row. Doesn't happen very often. Jack travels to Norwich in the #AFC 1st team squad! Delighted."

The 20-year-old has endured a torrid spell on the sidelines since July 2011, initially injuring his ankle in a pre-season friendly against New York Red Bulls, before having his comeback repeatedly postponed due to further problems with his heel and knee.

But more optimistic news has followed over the last month - Wilshere recovering sufficiently to be eased back into full-time training - with manager Arsene Wenger understandably cautious over introducing the midfield star back into first-team action before time.

And, after Wilshere came through several Under-21 matches unscathed, it appears that Wenger believes the time is right for his young charge to be part of the matchday squad once more, bringing to an end almost 14 months of frustration.
