Despite the name-calling caught on tape earlier this week between Nicki Minaj** and Mariah Carey** on "American Idol," producers insist they are happy with the judges' panel and that production is going well.
According to a statement released Friday (October 5) by the producers, "This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we've ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can't imagine a better group to find the next American Idol."
The press release continued, "Despite all the accusations and media speculation -- much of which is inaccurate -- production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge."
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is not backing down and taking the beef to Twitter. On Thursday she tweeted, "I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we've had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn."
After Mariah Carey told Barbara Walters on "The View" that the "Starships" rapper threatened to shoot her, Nicki fired back on Twitter, "Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz."
