Rihanna and Chris Brown have a twisted romance, but now the sultry singer is asking her ex-boyfriend to come see her at the MTV Video Music Awards!
Rihanna, 24, let Chris, 23, know that she wanted to see him at the event, HollywoodLife.com via penpointreview.blogspot.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY.
"Rihanna, once again, texted Chris last night and asked,'What's the deal, ni**a? You coming or not?,'" a source close to the singer says. "He hasn't responded."
Hollywood.com via penpointreview.blogspot.com recently spoke with Chris' rep, who told us Chris would not be able to attend the ceremony due to "another commitment."
That said, our sources tell us he's hoping to potentially attend one of the afterparties — and maybe even see Rihanna there!
"If he's in Los Angeles he will go to some party," our source said. "He can't stay in his Hollywood crib knowing a party is right down the street. He's going out if there's a afterparty in Hollywood or something. We all want him to go because it will be good for him."
Rihanna recently spoke to Oprah Winfrey about her complicated relationship with Chris.
"I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love and I see that he loved me the same way. We were very young and very spontaneous. We ran free. We ran wild. We were falling in love going in at a really rapid pace and we forgot about ourselves as individuals."
