In Rob’s first appearance on ‘The Daily Show’ after the K-Stew cheating scandal, he seemed nervous but was smiling and adorable. Funny-man Jon Stewart kept us laughing by making his opinions known — he thinks Rob should dump Kristen!

Robert Pattinson, in an interview on The Daily Show on August 13, broke his silence for the first time since the world saw photos of Kristen Stewartcheating on Rob with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director. After Jon Stewart playfully offered Rob ice cream to heal his broken heart, Rob finally spoke out — but Jon had his own opinion!
Although he looked handsome, Rob seemed nervous — he knew what questions were coming!
After joking that the cheating scandal felt like “the end of the world,” they aired version cut out Rob’s pre-taped response — he said “It is.”
Jon treaded lightly but asked him more directly about the affair. Rob was hesitant, finally saying, “Now I’m going to sound like an idiot. My biggest problem in my life is I’m cheap. I didn’t hire a publicist. And in every awkward interview, normally actors get these things scripted.”
As you may remember, Kristen issued this heartfelt public apology just one day after the cheating photos surfaced.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” she said. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
As they were eating their Ben & Jerry’s, Jon told Rob, “Boy, you are better off! Kick her to the curb!”Rob just laughed and smiled. We’re glad Rob took the high road and didn’t diss Kristen in this very public forum!
