History Being Made Again By Condoleezza Rice

First Woman Invited To Join Augusta National

Condoleezza is now the first of two women who have been admitted as members to the Augusta National Golf Club — read on to find out why this is such a big deal!

Condoleezza Rice is making even more history! Not only was she the first female African-American secretary of state, but she will be one of the first women members to join the once men’s only Augusta National Golf Club.
Located in Augusta, GA., the club has only allowed male members since it opened in 1933. Condoleezza will also be joining South Carolina businesswoman Darla Moore too.
This is perfect for Condoleezza since she loves to golf! This club is so strict that they didn’t even allow African-American men to join until 1990.
