When Kristen Stewart released a statement apologizing to Robert Pattinson for cheating on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, she wasn't just apologizing to her boyfriend. She was also apologizing to the millions of Twi-hards around the world who have invested their own emotions in the phenomenon known as "Robsten." So are they forgiving her?
Not quite. In fact, Kristen's statement has actually given them more reasons to attack her! They didn't want to believe she cheated when the reports first came out last night. They immediately leapt to her defense, and now that she's proven their efforts were in vain, they feel cheated. (Not quite in the same way as Rob, of course, but cheated nonetheless.)
Here's what some of penpointreview.blogspot.com's most outspoken readers are saying about Kristen's affair and statement:
Hannah Cannon says: "If you love someone, there will be no excuse for cheating. Rob deserves much much better."
Team Almeda says: "This has been so painful to witness. I know what it's like to be betrayed by someone you trust and IT SUCKS."
Lynnsey says: "Any respect I might have had for her (which I don't think I had) is now gone."
Naomi Burton says: "I thought if she was caught cheating it would be with a woman."
Dianne says: "So many celebs caught cheating. It's never going to stop. I bet Justin and Selena are next!"
And, of course, we could never overlook the most outspoken Twi-hard of all:
