In Nigeria, $620,000 SCAM…620 MORE PEOPLE

Over the past few weeks the drama of 'i collect bribe, i no collect bribe' between my two very good friends oil marketer- Femi oteDOLLAR – Business partner (in view *wink*) and faCROOK Lawan House of reps member has been so embarrassing and annoying just like the past bribery/corruption issues in Nigeria, its not really surprising but most of us during the oil subsidy probe saw Hon. Farouk as a very strict brilliant young charming man with integrity and so many girls that follow Nigerian politics/News confessed their crush on him as their dream husband but i guess the love is now close to the grave. Everybody saw him as the oil subsidy 'messiah' and if there was any poll whether he's the right man for the job or not, 95% will have to be for while only a negligible 5% might be against just because they don't want to follow the crowd or personal beef. I can still remember the day he was reading the subsidy report in a well cut white AGBADA rolling from left to right to the floor, the whole world looking at him as he delivered the 'best report' ever to the green chamber with smile on my face as i joined the twitter fans of farouk and in minutes, farouk lawan was trending nationwide and even close to trending worldwide NB:Its  something very strange on Nigerian twitter to trend for good…. Minutes later i saw more of my friends on BBM using farouk lawan as their Display pictures, even those that didn't use mine on my birthday *angry* so many 'farouk lawan for president' but not from pastor TB Joshua sha. I never knew the next time he was going to trend or grace the cover of punch newspaper it will be for BAD (Bribe And Disappointment) bribe ke? I  said no way …Farouk accepted bribe from Otedola? HELL NO!!! Otedola must just be another member from the cabal trying to gain fame and re-brand zenon oil by getting more cheap publicity so i decided to just sit back and watch the movie but now on DSTV channel 134 (channels TV) and not 118 (Africa magic yor) after which i concluded that Farouk was more than just a thief but also a disgrace to the entire lower chamber, it was first "i didn't receive bribe", later "yes i did to nail otedola and reported to Hon.Jagaba" with a handwritten message alongside the money which he (Hon.jagaba declined), and then "wasn't at otedola's house","yes i went" bla bla bla *angry*so many contradicting statements from him with series of evidence from otedola including an audio conversation  between the two parties and video coming soon to a cinema near you . After so much effort  by this honourable house even sitting for the 1st time on a Sunday just because of this singular reason (oil subsidy) and most of the members saw this oil probe report as "the best ever" but now with a stain and the credibility is now gone. We all now see the honourable members as thieves and that explains the reason why seeing an Honourable's official vehicle on the streets of Abuja is as scarce as Gold, most members now make use of their personal vehicles just because of the  disgrace packaged by Hon.farouk to the House.

Who am i to blame Chief Femi Otedola for any of his actions? Even though most people believed there are better ways to handle this case instead of his childish acts that made even an Honourable member call him stupid and very arrogant, if you sleep with dog u must wake up with flies… I'm also of the opinion that if the house needs to gain back their little respect, they need to sack/remove farouk from the house and let him face proper criminal charges plus the popular TJ(P.A to farouk) unless farouk received the money from otedola on behalf of the committee or the House. But for now farouk is like the biblical Jonah inside the turbulent ship ; so they picked up Jonah and threw Jonah into the water and suddenly, the storm stopped… until farouk is thrown out of the turbulent house i see no progress… For how long will we continue to have bribery/corruption cases in this particular house? But then, why disturbing ourselves about this probe report when even the president said it's just a 'mere resolution' so no big deal about it.

Farouk lawan is one of the few fourth term serving members since 1999 he must have being doing this for so long but God exposed him to us after 14years i believe we still have more than 620 more politicians/leaders indulging in such act… 360 honourable members + 109 senators + 40 Ministers + 36 state Governors +36 deputy Governors + 36 State house of Assembly speakers + 1 vice president + 1 president  = 619 + you = 620 yes you, we all now see bribery and corruption as an 'OK' act in Nigeria that sometimes we indulge in it subconsiously… The policeman that hails you on your way home and asks "Oga anything for us?", you may see it as a gift but also you believe you may need his help someday, The Nepa official you begged with 5H not to disconnect your electricity not because you don't have money but because there's no time to go to their office or the bank during the week, The secretary you say thank you to with a 1k note for getting out your files/document on time or making sure your proposal reaches its final destination, The 10% you are giving out on that project to the MD, the inflated invoice you submit  etc yours may not be $620,000 but always remember Rome wasn't built in a day and a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step because the N20, N600 you give out or receive today will soon be insufficient for you if you don't stop the act now at its early stage. You always say 'i want to change my nation' or the world, but not starting the change from yourself… Start the change from your way of life by saying no to any form of bribery/corruption be it direct or indirect and then you can change the nation….

I believe so much in Nigeria and no matter our current situation, i see the light at the end of the tunnel >>>God bless Nigeria
