Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner may fight all the time but HollywoodLife.com has learned why they do it! HollywoodLife.com spoke with relationship expert Cooper Lawrence and Psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman about why Bruce exploded at Kris on the July 15 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The problem with Bruce and Kris' marriage is that they are more in love with fame and fortune than with each other," says Dr. Lieberman. "Despite how much of it they already have, it never seems enough. So they blame each other for doing, or not doing, things that would make their empire grow.
But why are Bruce and Kris fighting after 21 years of marriage?
"The main reason why long term couples fight has to do with stewing anger that is ignored or not recognized," Cooper, relationship expert and radio host, tells us. "Kris is really focused on the careers of her family and has not been as successful concerning herself with their true, deeper emotional issues. As a mother of a large family the emotional life of her kids is her priority, because she would assume that Bruce, as an adult and a father, can care for himself and his needs."
Dr. Lieberman adds that Kris' tell-all Kris Jenner & All Things Kardashian was definitely a factor in causing Bruce to feel insecure in their marriage. Especially since she talked about her affair with her ex-lover Todd Waterman, the man she cheated on her first husband Robert Kardashian with.
"[The book] was understandably embarrassing for Bruce," Dr. Lieberman says. "In it, she tried to make herself look hot, regardless of the impact she had to know it would have on him. And there are rumors of her again taking up with Todd, the man with whom she was having an affair during her marriage to Robert."
