1. Stingy Men:
Since men already have this ridiculous notion that most Nigerian ladies love money way too much; what better way than to start with this? Hehehe!
Alright, jokes apart. Women believe that if you aren't spending on them someone else is helping herself from your pocket. No lady anywhere in the world would want a tight-fisted man. Even if she has all the money in the world or she hasn't said 'Yes' to dating you; she would still like to see you spend your money.
What might likely be going through her head is this: 'If he can't spend his money on me now, how am i sure he will when I finally agree?'
Hey, I'm not disputing the fact that some women are money conscious. However, you should be ready to spend on the girl you like/love. It doesn't necessarily have to be something big (well, unless you can afford it), just get her something she would really appreciate.
2. Poor Personal Hygiene:
The lack of personal hygiene from anyone (male/female) is a huge turn off. It's sad to see that some men don't care when it comes to their hygiene. Men tend to sweat easily, as they are more involved in physical activities.Is it too much to ask that they shower immediately after such activities? C'mon guys; primary school Health Education tells you that this will eventually cause body odour- which you try to cover up with one designer cologne or the other.
Also, I'm irked when I see guys that love to keep hairs on their underarms and still go about spotting a sleeveless jersey!
In some cases, you will find out that the hairs have become a collector of sorts- that makes you wonder when the dude in question last took a shower. Humph!
3. Bad Dress Sense
I'm really sad when I see a guy in mismatched clothes. Most guys don't bother about what they wear to different occasions or how they combine colours. They feel it's a 'woman thing' to be conscious of ones' dressing. So you can easily find a guy spotting a striped shirt and striped tie or a brown belt and white shoes. I'll be so ashamed if I were such a person's date.
4. Bug-a-boo
I'm definitely sure that the hit track 'Bug a Boo' by defunct R&B girl group, Destiny's Child readily comes to mind. The term is explained in the lyrics of the song:
"You make me wanna throw my pager out the window
Tell MCI to cut the phone pole.
Break my lease so I can move,

I call these kind of men pests! No lady wants a guy that's very bothersome. If you notice that she hardly answers your calls, responds to your messages, pings or e-mails & she takes the closest exit once you enter the room; dude, you gotta check yourself. You just might as well be a bug-a-boo!!!
5. LIARS!
Lying is one skill all men have (I'm yet to be proved otherwise). Men would lie just about anything, significant or trivial. They don't even care if they have been caught red-handed. One thing that baffles me is how they most times, lie without batting an eyelid. Some men even believe the notion that 'women like to be lied to'. I wonder who instigated that. Sorry guys. We are definitely not Rihanna, so we can't love the way you lie.
Truth is; there exist many women who still love their men this way. This article was not written with the intent to hate. However, if you see yourself in any of these lists, it's just a friendly reminder to do better.
Before you send in your comments, i know some ladies might say that I missed out a thing or two points that should have been listed. However, it should be noted that this write-up is about things that can be controlled.
