Police are investigating the murder of an erotic dancer whose dismembered body parts have washed ashore in America.
The torso of Jaren Lockhart, 22, was found in Bay St Louis,
Mississippi, followed by her head and parts of her legs, police said.
Police investigator Glen Grannon said Ms Lockhart had reported to
work at the club in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she worked as a
dancer, on Tuesday night.
A surveillance video then shows Ms Lockhart leaving the club early
on Wednesday. Police refused to discuss who she was with, if anyone.
It remained unclear where Ms Lockhart was killed and dismembered and where the body parts were put in the water.
Mr Grannon said experts on tides would be consulted on Monday to help determine where the body parts were likely dumped.
Ms Lockhart had been a resident of the Capri Motel, a $50-a-day
motel frequented by Gulf oil workers between offshore stints and by
French Quarter bar employees.
