Barlow Sorry Over 'Tuneless' 80s Star Jibe "Barlow made insulting remarks about Decker's singing voice on the X Factor"

Gary Barlow has apologised to 80s pop star Carol Decker after suggesting her singing was out of tune as he commented on a contestant's performance on this week's X Factor.

The talent judge angered the T'Pau lead singer after contestant Amelia Lily covered her hit China In Your Hand on Saturday's show.
He told the 17-year-old he preferred her version because it was "in tune"
Decker, 54, who was watching the X Factor at the time, hit back at the Take That star on Twitter in a foul-mouthed rant.
"What's your f****** problem? I actually have perfect pitch," she said.
She continued: "I had to suffer a Take That concert for the sake of my kids this summer."
Decker later added: "Last word on the matter china in your hand at no 1 for 5 weeks this time 24 years ago out of tune for the whole time apparently."
The next day Barlow took to the social networking site to say sorry to Decker.
He wrote: "Sincere apologies for my comment. there was no need. And sorry you had to sit through TT show. The things we do for our kids!"
His apology seemed to work as Decker replied: "Thank you, was puzzled/hurt u said that on national tv. Progress was very good, kids had a great time."
Decker has pledged her support for Amelia Lily, who made it through to the show's semi-final with Marcus Collins, Little Mix and Misha B.
Irish singer Janet Devlin was booted out of the competition after she forgot the words to one of her songs, MMMBop by Hanson.
