EFCC Quizzes LSHA Deputy Speaker And Four Others

The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Kolawole Taiwo, and four other principal officers of the house, namely : Rotimi Lateef Abiru, Ajibayo Adeyeye , Abdulrasaq Balogun and Lola Akande are being quizzed by operatives of the nation's anti graft outfit, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

All attempts to twist and turn the Seven billion naira (7,000,000,000) fraud rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly may have hit a brick wall as operatives of the country's anti-graft agency, continued their investigation on the matter.

The Speaker of the house, Adeyemi Ikuforiji was a guest of the anti graft agency where questions  on financial transactions in the house were asked but there seems to be no end to his troubles as sources close to EFCC confirm that incriminating evidence and statements are daily being assembled against the speaker.

The clerk of the house was said to have alleged that millions of naira were taken out of the treasury in cash through phony foreign accounts while the Chief Accountant who was under interrogation was also said to have corroborated the statement of the clerk in the course of the interrogation./
