Lami, is a Singer, Song Writer and an Educationist. Her debut album 'Intuition' was released late 2009 and boasts of successful singles like Know, and Nuttin.
Since then, she's been appointed a UN Ambassador for Peace, and performed at shows within and outside the country. She recently got nominated at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards for best Soul act alongside R&B heavy weight 2face.
Lami might be new to the music industry but she's making a good move outside music, giving back to the society as if she has made so much from her music career.
The UN ambassador for peace is setting an example for many celebs as she adopts a whole orphanage (The Nigerian Red Cross Society Motherless' Babies' Home) through her NGO, be the change.
Lami said this after visiting the orphanage
"I have been seeking to support a specific cause in the society and have considered a number of institutions. But when I visited the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Motherless Babies' Home, Makoko and shared experiences with the kids, my heart settled on them.
Last year, her debut video Know, featuring M.I was the staple love song on many playlists country wide – from radio stations to iPods, mp3 players and cell-phones. Singularly, the song heralded her presence on the scene. Previously, Neo-Soul was an unknown genre for Nigerian singers, but Lami beat a new path for herself regardless.

Her third video since she debuted, Over, is a testament of how far she has come in. The song as well as the video tells a story of love unrequited. It was shot exclusively in Lagos by Tom Robson for Jus Kiddin' Productions.
